How to set the automatic shutdown of the computer of Win7/Win8 system?

Friendly Tip: This case is applicable to Win7, Win8, Win8.1, Vista and XP systems. Manually setting the timed shutdown does not support XP system.

Program & rdquo; open the service.

2. In the Opened “Task Scheduler”, in the list of operations on the right, click Open “Create Basic Tasks”.

3. In the Create Basic Task Wizard dialog box, create a basic task, enter the task name, description, and click Next. In this example, the task is named: Timed Shutdown.

4, in the task trigger step, select the task trigger mechanism: just like the alarm clock, you can choose the timed shutdown task is to start every day, or press the point every week, or just execute this once. In this case, you select "One time", that is to say, after the shutdown of the scheduled shutdown task, the task will be invalid.

5, set the time to shut down regularly. For example, if you want your computer to shut down at 7 o'clock in the afternoon, adjust the time to 19:00 and click Next.

6. After setting the time, you need to start selecting the action to be performed by the task. Because we need a timed shutdown, so here we need to select “start the program”. If you want your computer to send emails at regular intervals, or to display messages at regular intervals, you can choose the other two separately.

7. Because the Windows system shutdown command is executed by Shutdown.exe, we need to select the Shutdown.exe program to execute the shutdown command when selecting the startup program. On Windows systems, the program is located in the WindowsSystem32 folder on the system disk.

Important Reminder: Remember to add the parameter “-s” in the Add Parameter input box to turn off the local computer. In addition, if you enter the parameter “-r”, it means shut down and restart the computer.

8. After setting all the content, you can see the shutdown task that the computer plans to perform. As shown in the figure below, click Finish to complete.
