The actual experience of changing the win7 wireless computer into a WiFi hotspot

A few days ago, I just bought several wireless routers for my friends. Today, this buddy can see the article after seeing this article. Why, because Windows 7 itself has the function of wireless router, but it is the hidden function of Windows 7, that is, virtual wireless AP, can also be called virtual WiFi
, let those who sell wireless routers through the following configuration Sell a few, this method is especially suitable for the college students in the evening bedroom power outage. (Ordinary routers also go to sleep after power failure, haha)

First, the operating system is win7 notebook or win7 desktop with wireless network card as the host. The configuration steps are as follows:

1
.
Run the command prompt as an administrator:

Use the shortcut key win+ R→ enter cmd→ enter (Figure 1, Figure 2)

.
WIN7 virtual
WiFi
NIC open:

Type in the command line window Command: netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow (see Figure 3).

Figure 3

Command Description:

mode: Virtual WiFi NIC mode, =allow is enabled WiFi
, =disallow is disabled WiFi
.

At this time, open the network connection window, you can see that there is a wireless network connection 2 in the window (Figure 4).

Figure 4

Right-click on the network connection that is connected to the Internet in the "Network Connections" window, the machine is locally connected to the network 2, select &ldquo ;Attributes”→“Share”, check "Allow other network users to connect (N)" through this computer's Internet connection and select "Wireless Network Connection 2" (see Figure 5).

Figure 5

After clicking OK, a shared NIC icon will appear next to the shared NIC icon in the network connection window, indicating "Shared" means "local connection" Network 2” has been shared to "Wireless Network Connection 2" (Figure 6).

Figure 6

Go to the administrator window type: netsh wlan set hostednetwork ssid=nyjjxgx key=1234567890 (Figure 7).

Figure 7

Command Description:

ssid: Shared service set identifier, ie the name of the wireless network that is currently open by WIN7.

key: wireless network password, more than eight characters (to remember, or the client can not go online, huh, huh).

In the command line window, enter: netsh wlan start hostednetwork, this command is to open the virtual AP (Figure 8).

(Turn start to stop to turn off the wireless network, and then enable the wireless network after booting up, just run this command again)

Figure 8

After the connection is successful, the name of the wireless connection 2 of the network connection window changes to nyjjxgx, and the red cross has disappeared (see Figure 9).

Figure 9

At this point, the WiFi base station has been set up and the host configuration is complete. Other wireless desktops, wireless notebooks or mobile phones with WiFi function search for wireless network nyjjxgx, enter the password 1234567890, you can share the Internet! The speed is very fast (Figure 10). And can also be viewed by command (Figure 11).

Second, through the above settings, online, sometimes not smooth sailing, there will be various The following questions are summarized as follows: 1. "Unable to start the bearer network, the state of the group or resource is not the correct state of the request operation"

This problem usually occurs in us When you want to share a wireless network, for example, through the following three commands:

(1)netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow

(2)netsh wlan set hostednetwork ssid=nyjjxgx key=1234567890

(3)netsh wlan start hostednetwork

There are no problems with the first two, everything is fine. But when it comes to the third article, it will prompt:

“Unable to start the bearer network, the status of the group or resource is not the correct state of the request operation.

Looked for a lot on the Internet After the final summary, the information on the Internet was generally consistent, because the driver is not new enough.

First check the wireless network card, right click on the wireless network card, select Properties, and then select ” Driver Details & rdquo;, you can see the current version of the driver.

As shown in Figure 12 below:

Figure 12

In the figure, click NETw5s32.sys, the file version shown below is the wireless The version of the NIC driver is up. So what is vwifibus.sys in the picture? In fact, this is a driver for virtual wifi. Only when this driver is installed can the bearer network be enabled. If your driver version is not new enough, this driver will not be displayed here (even if it appears, it is better to upgrade to the highest version as well).
