The gradual popularization of fingerprint recognition technology provides a new way for user account password management. The computer automatically logs in to the corresponding user account by scanning the user's fingerprint. The Windows 7 operating system provides built-in support for fingerprinting devices, so you no longer need to install third-party applications for the fingerprint reader to implement biometric management of user accounts through the built-in features of Windows 7.

Operation steps:

This article uses the AuthenTec AES1610 fingerprint reader as an example. Other models are similar to this operation. Steps to use the fingerprinting feature:

(If your computer already has the fingerprinting device driver installed, skip steps 1-3).

Click Start, All Programs, Windows Update, click the Check for Updates button.

Select the detected fingerprint device driver as shown in the group diagram below and click the Install Update button. As shown in the following group diagram

Please refer to the screen prompt, you need to restart the computer after the fingerprint identification device driver is installed.

After the computer restarts, click Start, Control Panel, Hardware & Sound, Biometric Devices. Click

Click to manage fingerprint data as shown below. As shown below

Click the finger icon you want to set and enter your Windows account password. As shown below,

Put your finger on the fingerprint reader to scan the fingerprint information according to the screen prompt information. As shown in the figure below

After the fingerprint scan is completed, log off the computer and log in to Windows by scanning the fingerprint.
