Windows 7 system IE8 minimum window size limit

  

According to foreign media reports, IE7 and IE8 (including Windows7 default IE8) minimum window width is limited to 250 pixels, while the minimum window height is limited to 100 pixels. Microsoft said that the IE browser window size limit is unchanged.

Nam Seungho, Microsoft Technical Support Account Manager, said: "One of my customers found me and asked why IE8 can't open a 140-pixel window. If you adjust the size of the IE browser, then IE The minimum window can only be adjusted to 250 (wide) x 100 (high) pixels. This is the minimum window size, you can't adjust the window width of IE7 or IE8 to 140 pixels."

You can compare Windows7 flagship from screenshots. Version IE8 with the smallest window of other browsers. It can be seen that compared to Firefox 3.6, Opera 10.50 and Google Chrome 4.0, the minimum window of IE browser is much larger than these browsers.


As shown in the screenshot, the minimum window of IE8 still displays the forward and return buttons, as well as the address bar and favorites. Other browsers are different. The minimum window sizes for Opera 10.50 and Firefox 3.6 are basically the same, and they all retain the minimize and close buttons. The minimum window for Google Chrome 4.0 is a bit special, its minimization, restore and close buttons are suspended in the upper part of the window.
