Features of Windows 7: Remote Media Stream

Have you ever wanted to enjoy music, videos and pictures on your home computer when you are not at home? It can be done now. Windows 7 introduces the "Remote Media Streaming" feature, which gives you easy access to the media library of Windows Media Player 12 over the Internet.

To use the "Remote Media Streaming" feature, both computers must be running Windows 7. Enable this feature by using the new Stream menu in Windows Media Player 12 and then associate the two computers with an online ID such as a Windows Live email address.

The "Remote Media Streaming" feature is just an option for you to enjoy media library content in other locations in Windows 7. If you have a family group, you can easily share multimedia between your home computers. You can also use the Play to feature (which may require additional hardware) to transfer multimedia files to your stereo device or TV.

When you are not at home, you can enjoy your home music and other multimedia content through Remote Media Streaming.
