under XP. After completing the above settings, go to “User Account” and open the “Guest” account, and in the system service, open the corresponding sharing function. At this point, the sharing settings have been almost completed. Finally, set the corresponding shared folder. If you are familiar with the XP sharing settings, you can basically operate the following settings very conveniently. The concept of sharing Windows 7 settings is almost the same as XP. The difference is that the path is different.
Windows XP system computers can not access Windows7 shared folders, although some can see the shared directory under Windows 7, but once you enter the directory, you will be prompted no access.
Workaround:
Go to the "Network and Sharing Center" setting to turn off the Windows firewall. Although there is an insecure risk to doing so, in order to achieve mutual access between different systems, it is only a last resort.
After closing the Windows Firewall, the next step is to go to the "Advanced Settings" on the left side of the firewall settings interface, and modify the "Inbound Rules" and "Outbound Rules". In both rules, find the <;File and Printer Sharing" option and set all of its options to “Allow all connection”.
The first step is to select the folder to be shared, right click and select “Attributes”, select ““Advanced Share” in the “Shared” tab, and will share this folder” The previous hook is hit, then click “Add”——“Advanced”——“Search Now” in “Permissions". Then select “Everyone” and <Guest” in the results of the search and confirm.
The above steps can basically solve the problem that 99% of XP can't access the shared folder of Windows7. Of course, it is not excluded that the access exception still occurs through the above methods. For this reason, it is recommended to temporarily disable the installation of additional anti-virus software or a third-party network firewall such as Skynet to prevent other network firewalls from obstructing access.
