Windows 7 arcgis software installation

First of all, a few extravagant words: Finally, Windows 7 was installed before the Dragon Boat Festival. Unfortunately, the beloved computer has been “aged and frail”, especially the graphics card. The Windows Experience Foundation Index directly gave a 1.0. Can not open an account. Aero. Poor and poor. At the beginning, as soon as I opened the Windows 7 game, the game was blue screen. After a long trial, I finally found a graphics card driver that is not blue screen. I am very happy. My graphics card is nvidva GeForce Fx 5200, if there is a similar friend can contact me. Ok, gossip is not much to say, go to the topic.

Most of the software in Windows XP can be installed and used in Windows 7. I am doing GIS software development. If arcgis can't be installed, I might have to give up Windows7. I chose the most insurance arCGIs 9.3.

In fact, there is no difference in the installation with xp, mainly about the two problems I encountered.

1. When installing arCGIs desktop, select the latest LMSetup.exe 17.7M (contact me). When you select a registration file, it will automatically exit when you open it directly. You can open it with Notepad and paste it in. The next installation is all right and can be used.

2. Install the arCGIs engine. The installation process went smoothly, including the runtime and sdk. The problem is that when importing the registration file .ecp, the ecp file with no problem in xp has a problem here, as shown in the figure

Going to google for a long time, also did not find Similar to the solution.

In the spirit of the solution, seriously analyze:

(1). You can complete the registration by manually filling in the method, you can conclude that it will not be a problem with the registration file itself, the problem should be in the registration file. Format.

(2). The file extensions .ecp and .txt all have similar problems. These two formats are officially supported, so the problem should not be on the extension, it should be The format of the file content.

(3). What should the format of the content be? First try the location of the swap element, registration version, registration time, etc., no results.

(4). I almost gave up, suddenly thought of a problem, Chinese! Yes, there is Chinese in my path! Put the file in the path without Chinese, ok!
