Replace Windows 7 Windows Media Center theme

  
        

Although Windows Media Center does not currently have the ability to change the theme, users can download and apply their favorite Windows Media Center themes on Theme7MC.com, the Windows Media Center theme site built by Hack7MC.


After downloading the Windows Media Center theme, the specific installation steps are as follows:

  • Download the Take Ownership.reg file and execute
  • Select C:\\Windows\\ehome \\ehres.dll file, right click on Take Ownership
  • to run the newly downloaded Windows Media Center theme as administrator
  • Run Windows Media Center to see the new theme

    Note: This method does not apply to Windows Windows Media Center in Vista, in addition, please pay attention to backup.

    The specific recovery steps are as follows:
    • Find C:\\Windows\\ehome\\ehres Backup.dll
    • Delete ehres.dll in this directory and ehress Backup.dll Renamed ehres.dll
