Unable to activate Windows 8.1 Professional with Media Center or Windows 8 Professional with Media Center
Meaning and solution: After adding the Windows Media Center package and trying to enter a new product key, You may see this error. To fix this, you can activate Windows from your phone.

7. The activation server determines that the specified product key is blocked. (Error code 0xC004C003)
What it means and the solution: This error means that the product key you entered is already used on another computer and you may need to purchase a new one. If you purchased a computer with Windows pre-installed, contact your computer manufacturer or retailer for the original Windows installation DVD and product key.
8. The activation server reports that multiple activation keys exceed their limits. (Error code 0xC004C020)
What it means and what to do: When using a volume license (a company has purchased a license to install Windows on multiple computers from Microsoft), the number of computers is more than allowed by the Microsoft Software License Agreement. This error occurs when the number of computers is reached. To resolve this issue, you may need to use another product key to activate your computer. 9. The DNS name does not exist. (Error code 0x8007232B)
What it means and if you try to activate your work computer but are not connected to the network in the workspace, you may see this error. If you are connected to a working network and still encounter this error, you may need to change your network settings. Please contact your system administrator for more information.
10. The file name, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect. (Error code 0x8007007B)
Meaning and solution: You may need to enter your product key again. To resolve this issue, perform the following steps:
- Swipe in from the right edge of the screen and click "Search”. (If using a mouse, point to the top right corner of the screen, then move the mouse pointer down and click "Search”.)
- Do one of the following:
1) In Windows 8.1, in Enter the product key in the search box and click or click “Change Windows Product Key”. . Under "Windows", click or click “change product key” and enter your 25-character product key.
2) In Windows 8, type SLUI 03 in the search box, then click or click “SLUI 03”. Enter the 25-digit product key and click or click “Activate”.
Note: The system may ask you to provide an administrator password or confirm your choice. You can find the product key on the box of the Windows DVD or from the email confirming that you have purchased Windows. It is similar to: PRODUCT KEY: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX.
11. A security error has occurred. (Error code 0x80072F8F)
Conclusions and solutions: You may see this error if your computer's date and time are incorrect, or if Windows has problems connecting to the online activation service and cannot verify your product key. . To verify your computer's date and time, follow these steps:
- Swipe in from the right edge of the screen and click “Search”. (If using a mouse, point to the top right corner of the screen, then move the mouse pointer down, then click "Search”.)

12. Software License Service Report License Evaluation Failure. (Error code 0xC004E003)
Meaning and solution: You may see this error after installing third-party software that has changed the system files. Windows activation requires a specific system file to complete activation. You can try to restore your computer's system files to a previous point in time. This will remove any software installed after that point in time without affecting your personal files.
13. Unexpected error. (Error code 0x80004005)
What it means and if you encounter this error, please try again. If it still doesn't work, you may need to restore, refresh, or reset your computer.
