Win8 new features: custom start screen background image

Last week we introduced the new Start Screen personalization in Windows 8, which allows users to customize the appearance of the start screen, The start screen selects a background color. Unfortunately, in the internal development version of Windows 8 at the time, the Start Screen Personalization service currently only allows users to change the color theme and cannot change the background image.

A few days later, the Microsoft development team has made up for the above regrets very efficiently. In the beginning of screen personalization, a new wallpaper replacement has been added, and users can choose their favorite start screen background image. However, the current feature is still in the development stage. In the “Choose a background” column, Microsoft just reserved the location and did not provide a specific picture.

Although still in development, we can boldly guess that Windows 8 not only allows users to select the wallpaper provided by the system for the start screen, but also supports users to upload local images as the background of the start screen. Figure.
