The order in which security policies are applied:

When a local security policy and a domain security policy conflict, the domain security policy takes effect.

The domain controller security policy takes effect when the domain security policy and the domain controller security policy conflict.

Group Policy Application Order:

Group Policy applies LSDOU (referred to as: Local Group Policy; Site Group Policy; Domain Group Policy; Organizational Unit Group Policy) effective order. Apply local group policy first, then apply site group policy, then apply domain group policy, and finally apply organizational unit group policy. It is important to note that the last effective strategy will override the previous strategy.

Tip: Domain controller security policies and domain controller group policies are only valid for DCs.

Relationship between Security Policy and Group Policy:

1) Security policies are included in Group Policy and are part of Group Policy. In other words, Group Policy includes a security policy.

2) in DC is no local security policy, but there is a local group policy.

3) If a domain group policy is set, the local group policy will be forced to use the domain group policy, and all options of the local group policy will not be available.

4) Due to security policies contained in Group Policy, then, if you set the security policy, the appropriate group policy will also change. Conversely, if a group policy is set, the corresponding security policy will change.

5) In Group Policy, when the computer configuration and user configuration conflict, the computer configuration is the main.
