Computer Shop News: Win10 9888 New Features: Built-in offline map, perfect power saving mode
Windows 10 has ported many functions from Windows Phone, such as notification center, traffic awareness and power saving mode, even not announced yet Cortana. In the latest leaked Windows 10 Build 9888, there is also a new feature ported from Windows Phone: offline map. Like the offline map feature of the Windows Phone version, Windows 10 offline maps allow you to download global/country/city maps directly from your device for offline use, which may be more useful for mobile phones and tablets. Since this feature is still in the development phase, offline maps crashed several times during the experience process – usually this situation will be greatly improved in the official version. The Windows 10 power-saving mode just mentioned is also updated. It is more complete than the current version in Windows 10 and is almost available: including the percentage of the remaining battery power and the automatic power-saving mode. Moreover, in Windows 10 Build 9888, the search box is added to the left side of the settings, which makes it easy to search for settings. The result is displayed in the Charm column on the right. Obviously, this interface has not yet been finalized.
