Search

“Search”The charms use Bing Smart Search, so you can search your computer, network, SkyDrive and some apps and Windows Store. You can search once to get results from everywhere and return to your search results without having to search again.

To search your computer, network, and SkyDrive, use Bing Smart Search

Swipe in from the right edge of the screen and click "Search”.

(If using the mouse, point to the top right corner of the screen, then move the mouse pointer down and click “search”.) To turn on the "Search” function, you can also press the Windows logo Key +S, or start typing while pressing the Windows logo key.

Enter a search term. As you type, you'll see a list of search results and suggestions.

If you see the app, file, or settings you're looking for in the list, tap or click it to open it. To see all the results of a search term, including all web results from Bing, click or click the "Search” button to go to the search results page. You can also click or click one of the search suggestions.

On the search results page, tap or click Search Results to open it.

Group your results by category and source. For example, the photos on your computer will be grouped together and the photos from the network will be grouped together. The results from your personal files on your computer and SkyDrive will be listed first, followed by the results from the app and the network. Thumbnails let you know what you will get before you click or click. To see all search results for a particular category, click or click the "View all" link for that category.

Return to search results page

If you find that it is not what you are looking for after opening the search results, you can return to the search results page without having to re-search. Use the touch function to swipe in from the left edge of the screen. (Use the mouse to move the pointer to the upper left corner of the screen and click.)

Narrow the search results

“Search” charms automatically search your computer, SkyDrive And apps, files, and settings on the web. But you can search for only one type of result, such as settings or images on the web. In some applications, you can choose to search only that app.

Swipe in from the right edge of the screen and click "Search”. (If using a mouse, point to the top right corner of the screen, then move the mouse pointer down and click "Search”.)

Click or click the arrow above the search box, then tap or click The category you need.

Change search settings

You can clear your search history, choose how to share your search information with Bing, and change the SafeSearch option to filter adult content from search results. If you want, you can also turn off web search to see only the results from your computer and SkyDrive (you might want to do this if you use a billing Internet connection).

Sharing

<quo;Share”The charm is a quick way to use it to get to know people without leaving the current application. Share files, photos and information or save content for later review. You can share photos with just a few people at once, share links with your entire social network, or send interesting articles to the Reading List app for later reading.

You can use the "Share" super button to share content from most apps. If you want to share content on your desktop, you can share files and photos via email sharing or using SkyDrive.

Changing sharing settings

You can change which apps are listed in the "share" charms and how they are displayed.

Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, click “Set”, then click “Change PC Settings”.

Getting Started

No matter where you are in Windows, you can use the “Start” charms to get to the &Startquo;start” screen. Or, if you have reached the &Startquo;Start” screen, you can use it to return to the last app you used.

Open the “Start” screen by swiping inward from the right edge of the screen and clicking “Start”. (Or, if you use a mouse, point the mouse pointer at the bottom left corner of the screen and click “Start”.)

If you use the mouse, you can move the mouse pointer to the lower left corner and click The “Start” button returns to the “Start” screen.

Devices

Use the "Devices" charms to quickly send files and information to other devices connected to your computer, such as printers, Xbox, mobile phones, speakers, TVs, or projectors. The list of available devices in the "device" charms depends on the devices you have and whether they are connected to your computer. Choose one of the following options:

Print a document, photo, or email. Click or click “Print” and follow the instructions on the screen. For more information, see How to print.

Project content from your computer, such as a presentation, slideshow, or anything on your computer, onto another screen. Click or click “Projection” and follow the instructions on the screen.

Settings

Use the “Settings> charms to quickly adjust some common settings (such as brightness and volume), find computer settings (such as personalization, user accounts, and devices) and change you The settings of the application used.
