Turn on Windows 8.1 "Slide to close your PC" method

One of the more complaints Windows 8 users complain about is that shutdown is too much trouble. In Windows 8.1, shutdown is much simpler. In addition to calling the Charms super bar like Windows 8, and shutting down from the power option, you can also right click on the start button, there are options for shutdown, restart, etc. in the pop-up menu.

Today, I want to tell you that Windows 8.1 actually brings a simpler shutdown method, you can do it like a mobile phone, "slide screen shutdown". This feature is turned off by default. You can turn on “slide screen to turn off your PC” option in the system settings, and you can also create shortcuts for it.

Steps to open:

1. Open the “Run” dialog box (shortcut key is Windows key + R), enter slidetoshundown.exe, click “OK”;

2, a blind-style interface screen will pop up, click and drag down, you can close the system.

3. If you don't want to open the run box every time to do the above, you can also create a shortcut for this: open the C:WindowsSystem32 directory, find slidetoshutdown.exe, right click to open the menu, select what you want The action to perform, such as creating a desktop shortcut, or locking to the taskbar, you can also choose to lock it to the start screen.
