Remove useless network connections in Windows 8

In the process of using Windows 8, sometimes the network connection is added repeatedly, although it does not affect the normal use, but a long list of useless connections does not look pleasing to the eye. In addition, some default network names (such as "network 2”) are neither intuitive nor good. However, these connections cannot be directly deleted and renamed. We can only do this by means of the registry. Click the network icon in the system tray area to see the network connection you are currently using under the list of available networks, for example zjggmxx-jwc2. Then press Win+R to bring up the Run dialog box, type regedit and press Enter to open the Registry Editor and jump to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows NT/CurrentVersion/NetworkList/Signatures/Unmanaged. There are some sub-items, where you can view the corresponding network connection, and then delete the items corresponding to the network connection that does not exist. Note that you should never delete the available network items (in this case, zjggmxx-jwc2), so it is best to back up the registry before the operation. Next, you can rename the network connection name you are using. In this example, double-click to open the Description item in zjggmxx-jwc2 and enter the network connection name you want. After the system is restarted, the changes will take effect, and friends who need it can try it.
