Several steps to improve your Win2003 system security

In the age of this virus, accidentally the system will be infected with viruses, so we need to strengthen system security. Although Windows 2003 has very stable performance, if we lack awareness of prevention and self-protection, the operating system will be damaged. Here I will tell you how to improve system security in several steps.

1. User Password Settings

Setting a password for a key can largely avoid password attacks. The character length of the password setting should be more than 8 digits, preferably a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters, such as “adlj@,78f.”, “junchenand10@”, etc., which can effectively prevent brute force cracking. It is best not to use your own birthday, mobile number, phone number, etc. as a password.

2. Delete the default share

Click “Start →Run”, enter “gpedit.msc” and press Enter to open the Group Policy Editor. Expand “User Configuration →Windows Settings →Script (Login/Logout)”, double-click the login item, and then add “delshare.bat” (parameters do not need to be added), thus deleting the default share of windows 2003.

Next, disable the IPC connection: open the Registry Editor, expand the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\Lsa] branch, and find the "restrictanonymous" subkey in the right window, and set its value. Change to “1”

3. Turn off the autoplay function

The autoplay feature works not only on the optical drive, but also on other drives, which can be easily exploited by hackers to perform hacking.

Open the Group Policy Editor, expand “Computer Configuration →Manage Templates →System”, find the "Automatically play" option in the right window and double-click on the dialog that opens. Select “Enabled”, then select “All drives> in the drop-down menu that is next to “ Turn off autoplay”, press “OK” to take effect.

4. Clear the remotely accessible registry path

Set the remotely accessible registry path to null, which prevents hackers from using the scanner to read the computer through the remote registry. System information and other information.

Open the Group Policy Editor, expand “Computer Configuration →Windows Settings →Security Settings →Security Options”, found in the right window & ldquo; Network Access: Remotely Accessible Registry Path & rdquo;, then in the window that opens, the remotely accessible registry path and sub-path content are all deleted.

5.Open windows update to keep the system update

There are many users who only work on anti-virus software and ignore the system's vulnerability patch update, which will cause system poisoning. System vulnerabilities infect the system again, and eventually the system is damaged or even smashed under repeated virus detection and infection. Therefore, when installing anti-virus software, be sure to turn on the system timing patch update function or update the system patch regularly.

The above tips are to teach you how to improve the security of Windows 2003 system. In daily life, we need to enhance and prevent the security awareness of the system and protect our computers from viruses.
