What if you want to broadcast your live broadcast to multiple people over the Internet? Today, I will introduce a new video broadcast method, provided that your playback server has Microsoft Windows 2003 installed. operating system.

Step 1

Confirm that the IIS6.0 and Windows Media Services services are installed on the system of the playback server. If it is not installed, go to the Control Panel and click “Add or Remove Programs → Add/Remove Windows Components”. Check the IIS (Internet Information Service) and Windows Media Services in the application server. After confirming, click “Next” to start the installation. You can set it up according to the installation wizard.

Step 2

Download and install

Step 3

After installing the Windows Media Encoder, we are ready to set it up, of course Before that you need to connect the camera and install the driver.

Go to the Start menu and select Run Windows Media Encoder just installed. After opening the program, a dialog box will pop up, which is a wizard for creating a new session. We choose to broadcast the live event icon, then the system will ask what device to use, select the video device and audio device you use in the drop-down list. The next step will let you choose how you want to broadcast the encoded content. In this step we have to choose “Push to the Windows Media Server”. In the "Which server and publishing point should be pushed to?", the server name needs to fill in the name of the playing server (that is, the local name), and the system will automatically add the port number after the server name. Enter “screen” in the "Publishing Points" column and check the Automatically delete publishing points check box.

After the above settings are completed, follow the prompts to complete a few simple choices. Finally, the system will prompt you to enter the account to access the server, you can enter your system administrator account, a video session is created. At this time, we should be able to see the image captured by the camera displayed in the center of the window. Click the “Properties” button in the toolbar to set the “session attribute” of the video broadcast. Select the “Output” tab and set the contents as shown.

We may also & ldquo; output & rdquo; tab check & ldquo; self Encoder pull & rdquo ;. If the above settings are passed, the format of the published address is "lds;mms://your IP:port number/screen", please note that these settings must match the settings of the Windows Media Services service.

Other properties of the video session can be specified by the user according to their own needs. After the setting is completed, click the “Start Encoding” button on the toolbar to broadcast the web.

Open Windows Media Player for testing and enter the URL“mms://$$$$.0.0.1:8888/screen” to see the images you posted. If your playback server has a domain name, you can also post images to the Internet at addresses like mms://www.###.com.
