How to add print server port

  

If your computer
has been directly connected to the printer before printing and the printer driver is installed on the computer
, now you want to use the print server To share your printer to the LAN, just change the printer's port to Standard TCP/IP Port
. The specific method is as follows:

1. Click Start
--Control Panel
--View Device and Printer
.

2. Find your installed printer icon, right-click Printer Properties
.

3. Select port
, click Add Port
, select after Standard TCP /IP Port
click New Port < Br>.


4. popup window select Next
.

5. Enter your print server's IP address, click Next.

6. Select Custom and click the Settings button.

protocol selection LPR
, queue name is lp1
, and enabled after the check byte count LPR Click OK
.

7. Click Finish
button to complete the configuration.

8. Click Application
button and select closed
, you can use the print server to share a printer. (Must click Apply before they can take effect)
