Since Windows Vista, the security control of UAC is the pain of users, which not only causes inconvenience in operation, but also does not have sufficient defense effect against real virus threats. Therefore, many readers will choose Turn UAC off, but this time Win 8 can be different! According to the previous method, UAC can't be completely shut down. Of course, we have to deal with it!

1. In the past, we closed UAC in Win 7. To do so, click on "Change User Account Control Settings" in the "User Accounts" window.

2. In the "User Account Control Settings", you can change the status of UAC by pulling the left slider to "Do not notify". Is this the same in Windows 8?

3. Although the account is already a system administrator, there are still problems when many software needs to be moved to the system. This is because although we have closed the UAC of Win 8, it is actually an Administrator account. Nor is it the highest privilege, this is one of the Win 8 security improvements.

4. If you want to completely turn off UAC, first press [Win]+[R] to call out the "Execute" dialog box, then enter "regedit" in the blank field, then click [OK] 〕 Open the login file editor.

5. After opening the "Login Editor" window, first expand "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Policies\\System" in the left pane, then find "Enable LUA" in the right pane. "This DWORD value, and right click on it, select [Modify] after jumping out of the menu.

6. After opening the edit dialog box, change the "Value data" field to "0" and press [OK].

7. At this time, you may be prompted to restart the computer
message on the notification area and press the message to reboot.

8. Before rebooting, you will be asked if you want to restart your computer immediately. Click [Restart Now] to reboot.

9. Although the UAC is actually turned off after the reboot, but after executing the App on the start screen, it will not start. Therefore, you can only choose UAC or use the App. It's a glimpse~

10. If you don't need to turn UAC off completely, just want to improve the permissions when using some software, there is a way to go to the "All Apps" menu in the start screen. Find the software shortcut you want to modify permissions by right-clicking on the shortcut. After jumping out of the bottom menu, click [Pin to Work].

11. After returning to the desktop at this time, you will see the icon that we just selected on the work bar. Press the right mouse button on this icon to jump out of the menu and then in the software. Press the right mouse button on the name, and then click [Content] on the pop-up menu.

12. After opening the content dialog box, switch to the [Compatibility] tab, then check "Run as a system administrator" in the "Permission Level" below, click [OK] 〕 Leave, when you open this software in the future, click on the icon on the work bar, you do not need to actually close UAC, and will not cause the application to be unable to execute.
