Step 1, put the Windows Server 2003 installation CD into the CD-ROM drive Computer
, when When the Press any key to boot from CD…… prompt message appears, press any key to boot from the disc. The installer starts loading the necessary installation settings files. After entering the installer welcome page, the screen prompts the user to press Enter to start the installation system, press F3 to exit the installation. Press the Enter key to continue. 】

Step 2, open the “Windows License Agreement” page, press F8 to agree to the agreement and continue the installation.

In step 3, the installer starts collecting installation information on the computer and asks the user to choose to install the hard disk partition of Windows Server 2003. By default, the first partition in the hard disk (C drive) is selected. The user can press the arrow keys to select the appropriate partition and press the Enter key to continue.

Step 4, enter the disk formatting page, the installer prompts the user which file format to use to format the partition. Available in NTFS partition format and FAT partition format. Since the NTFS file system can have more efficient disk utilization and security performance, select the "Format disk partition (fast)" option with the NTFS file system and press Enter.

In step 5, the installer starts to format the disk partition and automatically enters the file copy page after formatting. The installer begins copying the files to the Windows installation folder, and the copy process takes a long time.

Step 6, after the file is copied, the installer will automatically restart the computer after 15 seconds. You can also restart by pressing the Enter key.

Step 7, restart the computer, you can see that the Windows Server 2003 startup screen has appeared.

Step 8, the system boots to the Windows interface installation screen, the installer will further copy the files and start detecting and installing hardware devices. Screen jitter and black screens occur during this process, which is normal. This process takes a long time.

Step 9, after completing the device installation, open the “Regional and Language Settings” dialog box, and the user can choose to set the Input Method
and other items. Generally keep the default settings, click the “Next” button.

In step 10, open the “Customize Software” dialog box and press Ctrl+Shift to activate the Chinese input method. Then enter the user name and work unit and click the “Next” button.

In step 11, in the "Your Product Key" dialog box that is opened, you need to enter the legal product key of Windows Server 2003. Only the correct installation key can be used for the next step. . You can usually find the key in the product authorization. After entering the key, click the “Next” button.

Step 12, open the "Authorization Mode" dialog box, the installer requires the user to specify the authorization mode that you want to use. Keep the default settings for clickers, and if there are multiple Windows Server 2003 servers in the LAN, you should check the "Every device or per user" radio button. This example keeps the selected status of the "per server" radio button and clicks the “Next” button.

Step 13, in the "Computer
Name and System Administrator Password" dialog box, you need to set the computer
name and system administrator password. It should be noted that the length of the computer name cannot exceed 64 characters. It is recommended to be within 15 characters, and the name is unique in Network
. In addition, the system allows up to 14 characters to be used as a password and is case sensitive. The set password should be saved properly. Click the “Next” button after setting.

Step 14, in the "Date and Time Settings" dialog box, adjust the date, time and time zone of the computer system. “Time zone” options generally keep the default settings, click the “Next” button.

Step 15, the installer begins to install network components and network devices so that the computer can access the Internet.

Step 16, open the "Network Settings" dialog box, the general user only need to select the "Typical Settings" radio box, and then make further adjustments after the installation. Of course, you can also check the “Customize Settings" radio box if you want. Click the “Next” button.

Step 17, in the "Workgroup or Computer Domain" dialog that opens, you can set which workgroup or domain the computer belongs to. These settings are only valid in the LAN environment. For general users, just keep the default settings and click the “Next” button.

Step 18, in the subsequent installation process, the installer will install system components such as the "Start" menu and register them. Installation setup will be done automatically by the installer, and finally the temporary files will be deleted and the computer will be restarted.

Step 19, restart the computer again, then the Windows Server 2003 login dialog has appeared. Click Ctrl+Alt+Del.

In step 20, the system administrator enters the account name Administrator of the system administrator by default. The user needs to enter the system administrator password set in advance in the “Password” edit box, click the “OK” button. .

Step 21, log in to the Windows Server 2003 system desktop, and automatically open the "Manage your server" window. So far, the Windows Server 2003 system has been successfully installed.
