Win10 modify the hosts file and save

  

users using win10 system may find that win10 modified hosts can not be saved, this is because Win10 system does not have permission to edit the files in the system by default, this is also the permission is not enough to modify the editors After the reason can not be saved, the following small series will teach you how to modify the hosts in win10 and save.

First enter the location of the hosts file of the Win10 system. We can directly open C:\\Windows\\System32\\Drivers\\etc and press Enter to open it. Right click on the hosts file and select the properties, as shown below.


Click on “Advanced” in the properties dialog of the hosts, as shown below.


Click on Change Permissions in the Advanced Security Settings screen of hosts, as shown below.


Click the Add button in the new pop-up dialog box, as shown below.


Click on the subject of the permissions item window below to select the subject ” as shown below.


Click to enter the Select User or Group interface and click Advanced as shown below.


After clicking Advanced, we then click to understand the search, then find the current user's account in the search results, select it and click OK, as shown below.


Click OK in the Select User or Group interface, as shown below.


Check the basic permissions of the hosts under the permissions project interface, and then click OK, as shown below.


After the permission is successfully added, click OK directly, as shown below.


After clicking, you will be prompted to change the permissions settings for the system folder, which will reduce the security of your computer and cause problems when users access files. Do you want to continue? We click Yes. As shown below.
