Win10 Mobile/PC Preview 14388 to Fast Insider Users

Last weekend, Microsoft just pushed the 14385 preview for the fast track. The release of the Windows 10th Anniversary Update was only a few weeks away, and Microsoft pushed another version for the Fast Track yesterday. In the new version of 14388, there are a number of bug fixes and improvements in both mobile and computer versions. This version still doesn't have any new features added, just fixes some issues. We are now at the end of the development of the anniversary update, so if you find important bugs in the system, you should use Windows feedback to submit a problem report to Microsoft.

Repair and Improvement of PC Version

-We upgraded the Windows Store, the latest version number is 11606.1001.39, and fixed some bugs

-we fixed The problem that the Narrator shortcut cannot be used after locking the computer and logging back in.

-We fixed the problem that the Narrator can't read the date and time in the Settings >Time & Language> Date & Time window

-We fixed a problem with the TPM driver crashing and causing the device to blue screen reboot

Mobile version fixes and improvements

-We upgraded the Windows Store, the latest version No. 11606.1001.39, and fixed some bugs

-We fixed the problem that the keyboard could not be displayed in the privacy browsing mode of Edge browser

- We fixed that when an application is not responding, After shutting down, you can't reopen it until you restart your phone.

Known issues with PC version

-A recent issue with Hyper-V firmware has affected Windows Server. VM Safe Boot Mode for the 2016 Technology Preview Version 5. This issue is being fixed. Due to release issues, the Windows Preview release was released earlier than the release of Windows Server 2016 Technology Preview version 5. During this time, if you try to open the new technology preview VM safe boot mode, this will fail. We have blocked the safe boot mode during this period.

-After you install a non-English (US) computer version, you will encounter the error code 0*80004005 when launching developer mode in the settings. When you find this problem, Your machine has entered developer mode and can use Visual Studio to develop the Universal app. In most cases, this error indicates that the operating system requires additional components to start additional debugging features of Visual Studio, or that the Windows device port cannot be installed automatically.

Known problems with the phone version

- Voice recording cannot be displayed in the phone recording options. We plan to release a recording application in the store to solve this problem.

-Walker users will be prompted to enter the PIN twice when making a payment on the lock screen

-Hint: We have changed the update format of the Windows 10 mobile device to reduce the space occupied by OneDrive, so If you are using the latest preview and try to back it up and then restore from this backup on the official release (10586 version), your start screen layout will not be restored and it will maintain the default layout. Your previous backups will also be overwritten. If you need to temporarily roll back to the 10586 version, you should turn off the backup option as long as you are in the 10586 version, so it will not back up and overwrite your preview version of the backup.

The Windows 10th Anniversary Update will be available on August 2nd, and Microsoft intends to finalize the release this week. If all goes well, the Insider will conduct the final test next week.
