How to solve the problem that the TrustedInstaller.exe process in Win7 occupies high memory?

When Windows Update updates the installation package released by Microsoft, the Windows Modules Installer service will automatically run to modify or replace the system files. If the user closes this process, it will affect the system update or change the operation of the system settings. So in this case, you can only wait for the system update to be completed silently. How can you properly configure Windows update and let TrustedInstaller.exe co-exist with you?

Cause Analysis

1, TrustedInstaller.exe (Windows Module Installer) The reason for the high memory usage is usually because Windows Update is updating the system functions in the background.

2. Right-click on the TrustedInstaller.exe process in the Task Manager and select Open File Location. From the directory you can see that this is a system program, so forced deletion is not advisable.

3, however, after the Windows Update configuration is completed, its resource occupancy rate immediately resumes normal.

The solution is to turn off Windows Update's "Automatically install updates".

1. Open the Control Panel, go to Windows Update, and click Change Settings.

2. In the important update, change the installation method of the update, respectively, "Automatically install update (recommended), download only, detect only and never detect".

3, in order to save system resources, I suggest you choose "Check for updates, but let me choose whether to download and install updates", the advantage is that you will still receive update reminders, but you can Download and install when the computer is idle, so that even if the TrustedInstaller takes up more memory, it doesn't matter.

Note: Regular system updates will improve the security and stability of the system. Don't choose " never check for updates (not recommended)", don't lose because of small!
