Win10 start menu features are well received. Win the design industry Oscar

Microsoft has released the first new operating system Windows 10 in the past three years, this system supports notebooks, desktops and smartphones. Its user-friendly and feature-rich interface has been well received.

For Microsoft, the release of this new version of Windows is critical. Previously Windows 8 received poor response. Some of the bold design of Windows 8, such as abandoning the start button and adopting a new interface layout, is confusing and even repelling many users. Windows 10 finally did not “subvert the tradition” again, but instead obeyed the public opinion restart button. But Danny Oran, the father of the start menu, expressed his disappointment. He said that although Windows 8 is not optimistic, it is at least new. Microsoft doesn't have to be frustrated. WMPU believes the appeal of the new menu is underestimated because it just won the ISDA 2015 Design Award.

The awards write:

The Windows Start Menu has been available for more than 20 years, making it easy for users to find applications and what they care about. In the Windows 8 and Windows Phone 7 era, Microsoft has been improving the start screen and adding dynamic tiles.

The design of the Windows 10 Start Menu is more consistent in the experience of launching and switching applications, continuing the features of the desktop start menu, and users are more familiar with it, as well as for mobile and tablet users. This design allows users to use the experience gained from one device to use other devices.

It is understood that ISDA is a professional organization of American industrial designers. Its authority is not to be underestimated. It is also known as the Oscar of the design world.

Additionally, this professional award does not seem to have much relevance to business success. The iPhone only won one award in 2008, and Windows Phone 7 won three in 2011.
