Win10 official version of the file explorer did not join the tab page User experience is not good

In the current Win10 official version 10240, the file resource manager basically inherits the functional style of Win8/Win8.1, and there is not much improvement. The user has requested to join the "tab" . There are still many users who want Microsoft to pay attention to their own demands. In the Win10 Explorer, a browser-like "tab" function can be implemented to allow multiple resource manager windows to be merged.

Win10 official version of the file explorer interface

This recommendation is extremely high in the UserVoice community. Since the Windows7/Windows8 era was introduced, there have been more than 32,000 votes in favor. Although each user can vote for up to 3 votes, the case of at least 10,000 people voting is a typical example in the UserVoice community. The number of votes is still growing, and there are new users in the comment area, hoping that Microsoft can pay attention to this proposal.

According to Microsoft's rules for Win10, if a feature is supported by many users, then Microsoft will turn it into reality. Therefore, so many users want Microsoft to join this feature, maybe it can really appear in the future Win10.

The UserVoice administrator from the Microsoft Windows team replied to the suggestion that such advice is exactly what Microsoft needs, and we can be sure that these suggestions can be fed back to the product team, but there is no guarantee that every suggestion will be Implemented. However, Microsoft has not joined the feature because of a conflict with existing UI designs.

The Ribbon Ribbon interface currently in use also uses a design similar to the “tab", and the location is below the title bar. If you want to merge windows and implement a browser-like tab design, the existing Ribbon ribbon needs to be re-planned to avoid the confusion of double "tabs"

For overseas users to join the Win10 file explorer to the “tab", the suggestion to merge the display resource manager window is very welcome. So what is the attitude of our IT home users to this proposal? Please give your opinion.
