Fifteen strokes to get the computer to start faster

It is a common heart of every computer fan to start the computer too slowly. It is everyone’s common wish to let the computer start faster. I have summed up the “Five-style” to speed up the computer startup speed during the use of the computer and share it with you. .

First, the BIOS optimization settings

On the first page of the BIOS setup, we enter the "Advanced BIOS Features" option, move the cursor to the "Frist Boot Device" option, press "PageUP" and "PageDOWN" "To make a selection, the default value is "Floppy", which means that the system will first read the boot information from the floppy drive at startup, which will lengthen the boot time of the machine and shorten the life of the floppy drive. So we have to choose "HDD-0" to boot directly from the hard disk, so it will start for a few seconds. In addition, "Disabled" is recommended for "Above 1MbMemoryTest" in the BIOS settings, and Enabled is recommended for "QuickPowerOnSelftest".

The settings in the "Advanced Chipset Features" item have a great impact on the acceleration of the machine. Please pay more attention. Change "Bank 0/1 DRAM Timing" from "8ns/10ns" to "Fast" or "Turbo". “Turbo” is faster than “Fast”, but it is not stable. It is recommended to select “Fast”. If the memory quality is good, you can try "Turbo" and the instability can be changed back to "Fast".

For memory quality, it is recommended to set "2" in the "SDRAM CAS Latency" option, which will speed up.

Newer motherboards support AGP4X. If your graphics card also supports AGP4X, then activate this at "AGP-4XMode", which is selected as "Enabled". The ability of the graphics card to speed up system startup.

Second, start DMA mode, improve hard disk speed

The maximum transfer rate of hard disk using UDMA/33, 66, 100 technology is 33MB/s, 66MB/s, 100MB/s, from theory In terms of IDE hard disk (here, PIO MODE4 mode, its transfer rate is 16.6MB /s), the transfer rate is 3 to 6 times, but in the default setting of Windows, DMA is disabled, so we must It opens.

The specific method is: open the "Control Panel → System → Device Manager" window, expand the "Disk Drive" branch, double-click the icon of the UDMA hard disk, go to "Properties → Settings → Options", in the "DMA" item In front of "√", then press OK to close all dialogs and restart the computer.

Third, remove the Windows boot logo.

First you need to open "Start" → "Settings" → "Folder Options", select "Show all files" from the "Advanced Settings" list box in the "View" tab. Then open the C drive, find the MSdos.sys file, and cancel its "read-only" property, open it, under the "Option" paragraph, add a line of statements: LOGO = 0, so the Windows boot pattern will not be Load and run, the boot time can also be shortened by 3 seconds.

Fourth, optimize the "start" group.

Computer beginners love to try out a variety of software, and delete it in a short time, but often because of some inexplicable reasons, these software will also reside in the "start" project (especially in When using some D software, Windows will waste a lot of time when it starts up. To solve this problem, it is very simple. You can open "Start" → "Run", select "msconfig" in the "Open" column of the dialog box that appears, and then click "OK", it will bring up the "system configuration" "Utility", click on the "Startup" tab, and remove the "√" in front of the program that does not need to load the startup group. In this way, at least the startup time can be shortened by 10 seconds.

Five, organize and optimize the registry.

After Windows starts up, the system needs to read the relevant information in the registry and temporarily store it in RAM (memory). Most of the time Windows starts up is spent on it. Therefore, it is necessary to organize and optimize the registry. For optimization of the registry, you can use software such as Windows Optimizer. With Windows Optimizer, click "Register Information Cleanup" → "Scan", the software will automatically clean up the garbage in the registry for you. After the scan is finished, a menu will pop up for you to choose whether to back up the registry. It is recommended to select backup. After the backup, click "Clear".

Six, often maintain the system.

If you install too many games, too many applications, and too many old materials in your system, your computer will run slower and slower, and the boot time will be longer and longer. Therefore, it is best to do a comprehensive maintenance of the computer at regular intervals. Click "Start" → "Programs" → "Accessories" → "System Tools" → "Maintenance Wizard", then click the "OK" button to perform a comprehensive maintenance on your computer, which will keep your computer in top condition. . For the hard disk, it is best to do a "disk defragmentation" every 2 weeks, which will obviously speed up the program startup speed, click "System Tools" → "Disk Defragmenter". Note that the disk where the system is located must be defragmented when defragmenting the disk, in order to really speed up the Windows boot sequence.

Seven, expand the virtual memory capacity.

If your hard drive is big enough, please open "System" in "Control Panel", open "Virtual Memory" in the "Performance" option, select the second item: User set virtual The memory setting points to a less-used hard disk and sets both the maximum and minimum values to a fixed value, which is about twice the size of physical memory. In this way, when the virtual memory uses the hard disk, it does not need to accommodate the difference between the big and the small, and the fixed space is used as the virtual memory to speed up the access speed. The setting of virtual memory is best done after "disk defragmentation", so that virtual memory is not in a continuous, non-fragmented file space, which can work better.

Eight, remove the "wallpaper", "screen saver" and other fancy settings.

These settings take up system resources and also seriously affect the Windows boot order. To remove them, click the right mouse button on the blank space of the desktop, select "Properties" in the pop-up menu, and select the "Background" and "Screen Saver" tabs in the pop-up dialog box, respectively, "Wallpaper" and "Screen" The protector is set to "None".

9. Delete Autoexec.bat and Config.sys.

The two files Autoexec.bat and Config.sys in the root directory of the system installation, Windows does not need them, you can safely delete them, which can speed up the Windows startup speed.

Ten, streamlined *.ini files, especially the contents of System.ini and Win.ini.

Loading a lot of drivers and font files in the [boot] and [386Enh] sections of system.ini is a clear focus. In particular, the shell=Explorer.exe in the [boot] field is a hidden loading place that the Trojan likes. Trojans usually change the sentence like this: shell=Explorer.exe file.exe, note the file here. Exe is a Trojan server program! With the subsequent loading and loading of the Trojan, not only the system security is threatened, but also the computer startup is much slower. For the programs that are loaded after the "Run" and "Load" in Win.ini, which must be run every time, you can temporarily clear the program. , and then click to run when you want to use it later. In this way, the related files called by Windows will be much reduced, and the startup speed will naturally be much faster.

XI, turn off the disk scan.

Open msdos.sys with a text editor and you will see the following:

[Options]

bootmulti=1

bootgui=1

autoscan=1

If you don't want to run ScanDisk after abnormal shutdown, you can change atuoscan=1 to autoscan=0, so the computer will start faster after abnormal shutdown. (Because scandisk is not running).

12. Let the guidance information stay for the shortest time.

Open msdos.sys with a text editor and set the BootDelay in [Options] to 0.

Thirteen, reduce unnecessary font files.

Font files take up a lot of system resources, boot time is very slow, and take up a lot of hard disk space. So try to reduce unnecessary font files. But if you delete the wrong font file, it will make Windows not normal. Therefore, you can use the following method of "stealing the column" (you can install the font file without occupying a lot of disk space): first open the font folder (such as F:zk), select all TrueType font files, use the right mouse button to Drag them to the C:WindowsFonts folder and select “Create shortcuts in the current location” in the pop-up menu, so that you can create shortcuts to the font files in the system font folder. When you need to use these font files, just insert the font disc and remove it when you don't need it.

Fourteen, delete the extra Dll file. There are many Dll files in the System subdirectory of the Window operating system. These files may be shared by many files, but some do not have a file to use it, which means that these files are useless, in order not to occupy hard disk space and Increase the startup speed and remove it completely.

Fifteen, the method of "next door left". If the system is suspended, the current system state will be saved after shutdown. After the next boot, the system will directly enter the desktop before the last shutdown. In this way, the boot time can be up to 4-5 seconds, but not all. The motherboard BIOS is supported, and it is a bit more troublesome to set up.

Open the registry, expand to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionSharedDlls subkey, there are many Dll files on the right, if the data is 0, you can determine that the Dll file has no program sharing, you can delete it.

If the computer is not fast enough according to the above method, in addition to upgrading the hardware (CPU, memory, hard disk, etc.), another good way is to reinstall the system, which can significantly speed up the computer startup speed. Try it if you don't believe it!
