Save time and increase productivity. Deploy the workstation with RIS service (2)

Configure RIS server

1. Open “Active Directory Users and Computers from the Administrative Tools, click “Domain Controllers, from the right The window will list the available RIS servers. Click the right mouse button to select this RIS server, select "ldquo;" from the menu that appears, and the RIS server properties dialog window pops up, as shown in Figure 1.

2. Select "Respond to the client computer's request service" so that the RIS server can serve the responding RIS client. If you want to check if the RIS server is faulty, you can click the "Verify Server" button to check.

Modifying the configuration file
By default, the RIS service only provides a completely new installation. Even if your hard disk is partitioned, the remote installation service will be installed when installing with the default RIS service. The hard disk is automatically formatted and divided into a partition. If this is the case, RIS is only suitable for installing a brand new computer. If our computer is partitioned and there is data on the hard disk, we certainly don't want the RIS service to format the hard disk during the installation process. This requires configuration.
