Windows Hello Update: Support for unlocking Windows 10 PC with wearables

  

Computer Store News: Microsoft will extend Windows Hello functionality to support the use of wearable devices to unlock a Windows 10 PC. Microsoft announced the news on today's Computex 2016 stage. In the beginning, Microsoft just used Windows Hello as a complement to fingerprint/face recognition, but now it already supports wearable devices such as Microsoft Band, just like Bionym's Nymi.


This extension is also part of the "Windows Hello Companion Device Framework" update, which allows third-party wearable devices to unlock a PC or implement more features. —— such as paying on the Windows Store or logging in to a website through Microsoft Edge.
