Microsoft confirmed that Win8/Server2012 does not use IE11

  

Computer Store News: Microsoft officially released the IE11 browser for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 platforms. In view of the fact that IE11 is pre-installed in the Win8.1 system, will you suddenly remember that there is IE11 in the Win8 pre-installed with IE10? the answer is negative.

The official Microsoft Knowledge Base article clearly states that IE11 is not supported on Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012. In other words, if Win8 users want to experience IE11, they must update to Win8.1.

Speaking of the specific system requirements of IE11, XP and Vista naturally can't, Win7 has at least SP1, and then Win8 does not work, Win8.1 can.


Microsoft has also announced on the Help and Support page: "When Win8.1 is officially available, Windows 8 customers will have two years to go to Windows 8.1. & rdquo; That is to say, after the listing of Win8.1, the official support of Win8 will end on October 18, 2015.
