Win 8.1 or add many new features

Computer Store News: Microsoft is modifying many of the built-in applications for Windows 8.1, the most modified of which are music applications. A newly redesigned Windows Store redesigned Windows store shows the new user interface for Xbox Music. Microsoft has previously disclosed to The Verge that the focus of the new music app is to play music rather than provide new content, and that users can now play music with just two mouse clicks instead of clicking six times.

The screenshot of the new Xbox music update shows two panel interfaces that seem to improve the ability to query music and the ability to quickly access song collections. Xbox Music was released last October for Windows 8 and Windows RT devices, as well as accessing songs from the Xbox 360. Although the service includes the most popular songs and albums, its interface has been slow and cumbersome on Windows 8 and Windows RT devices. The application of this update is obviously to improve this situation with a simplified design and layout. Microsoft also added a built-in search box for Xbox music apps, improved search results, supported music file formats on SD memory cards, and supported songs outside the Xbox music catalog.

Microsoft has also added many new applications for Windows 8.1, such as calculators, recorders, scans, reading lists, Movie Moments, and help and tips. The movie moment allows the user to experiment with the touch screen interface to edit the video. The reading list can be used as a super clipboard to store URL addresses and other summaries in the application. Recorders, calculators, and scanning applications are simplified touch screen versions to replace traditional desktop versions. Help and tips include many new tutorials for Windows 8.1 users that should help users eliminate confusion about the new interface.

In addition to redesigned Xbox music and additional applications, a new Windows Store interface has been discovered in Windows 8.1 build. Microsoft seems to be modifying its Windows store design, improving paid and free parts, newly released departments, and recommending apps to users based on existing app libraries.

Microsoft will release a preview version of Windows 8.1 at its Build Developers Conference on June 26. This version will provide all the improvements.
