Computer store news According to Theinquirer website, chip maker Intel Corporation recently released the ultrabook upgrade program, Intel also said that it will soon launch Vpro ultrabook for enterprise users.

Kirk Skaugen, vice president of the Intel PC Client Group, said the company is working with PC makers to develop and produce ultra-polar notebooks that meet Vpro standards.

Intel Vice President pointed out that the Vpro series will add system security and management options to Ultrabooks, which are currently limited to consumer products. Thinking about the root name: “This is a very exciting news for the commercial market. From what we know, the company's technical directors feel that the consumerization effect of IT is extremely important. ”

Intel is also trying to reduce the cost and configuration of the Ultrabook system. Although the price of the early model Ultrabook was about $1,000, Thinking Root believes that the new solution will reduce the price of Ultrabook to less than $699. The shape of the ultrabook will also be compressed, and the thickness of the case will be reduced to 18 mm for some models.

The reason for the lower cost of ultrabooks is due to the new material-based applications of plastics, while the lightweight aluminum alloy casings used in the early ultrabooks were more expensive and thicker. Therefore, the new ultrabook will use plastics that are cheaper and easier to design.

Intel Vice President stated: “We will see more innovations in plastic materials that will drive Ultrabook's capacity and more innovation. ”

Intel expects notebook manufacturers to launch the commercial Ultrabook Vpro system in a few months. The new system will run Microsoft's Windows 8 and use Intel's Haswell chip.

Intel also said that the next-generation processor architecture will be released in 2013, and the new architecture will greatly improve the performance and power consumption of the processor.
