iPad and Win8 tablet are suffering from decline, the future belongs to Android

Computer store news NPD DisplaySearch new research report sees the decline of Windows RT (Windows8 ARM) in the next five years to capture the tablet market, think Its market share will grow slowly. The report predicts that Windows RT will receive a 1.5% share of tablets in 2012 and will only grow to 7.5% in 2017. At the same time, it is believed that the Win8 regular version (x86 architecture) is difficult to survive in the tablet market in the future.

The report also believes that Apple's iPad (iOS) tablet market share will fall from 72.1% in 2012 to 50.9% in five years. Conversely, the Android tablet market share will rise from 22.5% to 40.5%.

Finally, the report predicts that the number of tablets will increase from 81.6 million units in 2012 to 424.9 million units in 2017, and will surpass the notebook market in 2016.
