Family Safety is preserved and will be built into Windows 8

Computer Store News One of the Windows Live Essentials packages, the future of Family Safety, has been identified and basically preserved, but will be named "Windows Family Safety". As Chris Jones mentioned in the Windows Live Rethinking article:

For customers whose family members share a PC, Family Safety is now a feature of a Windows account and no longer requires a separate download.

Kip noticed that on May 1st, a Microsoft job posting, their team was looking for:

A passionate developer to build the next generation Windows Family Safety solution. Family Safety will play a key role in many of Microsoft's next generation products.

Our solutions include a filter driver in Windows 8, a set of interfaces in the Windows Control Panel, Websites, and High Traffic Online Services.

The Windows Family Safety team will help parents monitor how their children use the device and protect them online. We operate online services that support roaming security settings, activity reports, and website rating services. This is an end-to-end solution that includes clients and services integrated into Windows and is a centralized repository of home settings for the Microsoft product line.

From the above information, Family Safety has two points: it no longer belongs to the Windows Live brand, belongs to Windows, and will be integrated into Windows 8; it will be cross-Microsoft other products.

But there is another problem, Microsoft said it currently adopts the strategy of “do not need an independent brand”, but Family Safety is an exception.
