All .exe executables in Vista can't run

A few days ago, the forum has users who reflect that all .exe executables in Vista can't run, prompting "the file does not have a program associated with it to execute". Even if you enter a program to run in the Run window, it displays "Unsupported Interface". The initial estimate is that the virus has changed the exe file association, so a new user enters, and surely everything is normal, open the registry editor, export the associated key value of the exe file, and then go to the old user, double-click the reg file just exported And everything is back to normal.
The contents of the exported file are:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.exe]@=”exefile””Content Type”=”application/x-msdownload”
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.exePersistentHandler] @=”{098f2470-bae0-11cd-b579-08002b30bfeb}”
Enter the above text into Notepad and save it as “exe associated recovery.reg” file for backup.

In other words, if you encounter the same problem, just do the following steps to recover:
* New Notepad
* Copy the blue background part above to Notepad中
* Save as XXX.reg file
* Double-click import
* Restart
