IPv6 installation steps under 2003 and Vista

By reading the previous article, I believe that everyone has a certain understanding of the IPv6 installation steps. In fact, for different versions of windows, although there are subtle differences, the overall installation steps are similar. Now let's take a look at the details that need to be noted in other versions.

◆ IPv6 Installation Steps for Windows 2003

Installation of Command Line Mode

For Windows 2003, you need to use the netsh command in command line mode to complete IPv6 installation. The installation command is as follows: C:\\ > netsh netsh> interface netsh interface> ipv6 install

Graphical interface installation

Similar to Windows XP, IPv6 installation steps are the same as "Standard Process for Installing IPv6 Protocol" .

◆Windows Vista IPv6 Installation Steps

Windows Vista comes with IPv6 support. Generally, you only need to confirm that IPv6 is enabled. The specific method is: open the “Network Connection” in the “Network and Sharing Center” in the “Control Panel”, and check whether the TCP/IPv6 option is enabled in the properties, as shown in Figure 1-3. Figure 3 shows that IPv6 is not enabled. You can select it and press OK to enable IPv6.
