Windows Vista LAN sharing problem Raiders a

  

Many users of Windows Vista system and XP have encountered compatibility problems, such as Vista can see Windows XP users in the LAN, but can not find Vista in Windows XP, etc. In general, it is because the shared service is not enabled, system sharing is enabled, Windows Firewall is blocked, and so on.

Open “My Computer"-“Control Panel", set “Network Discovery" & "File Sharing" in the "Network & Sharing Center" dialog box Enable status, as shown in Figure 1

Click on the "Windows Firewall" in the lower left corner of Figure 1, in the settings dialog that opens, select "Allow Programs" Through the Windows Firewall, as shown in Figure 2:

In the "Windows Firewall Settings" dialog box that opens, select the "Exceptions" tab, check "File and printer sharing", "core network", "network discovery", as shown in Figure 3:

Finally we have to ensure that it is turned on Related shared services, here we use the Vista enhancement tool - "OoVista System Essentials" "Performance Enhancement" tab, select “Service Optimization Wizard>, checkmark “This computer uses LAN” Just as shown in Figure 4:
