What is the purple screen of death in Vista?

Blue Screen of Death is no stranger to us. Since the Windows 95 era, the Win98 era, who has not seen it. There are others who have seen the crash in the boutique: the red screen of death, this is rare. However, have you heard of the "Zi Ping" crash?

Very interesting, as shown above, this can't be called purple screen, it's just a partial purple screen, but this is very rare. Unlike what we usually call the blue screen and red screen, it does not cause a system crash and restart, but the low-level (not low-level) error of the system kernel is not so serious. How did it happen?

It is rare when the WDDM driver crashes locally and DWM does not respond properly. This is a special phenomenon caused by the Windows Vista display system, which occurs on both ATI and Nvidia graphics cards.
