3 points to install Windows Vista SP1

A lot of SP1 updates were mentioned in the just released vista SP1 white paper, and some things are worth noting, especially how they are deployed. There is also a very abnormal requirement for the remaining disk space. For the sake of the following description, the 32-bit system actually requires that the system area must be no less than 7 GB of free space!

This may cause many system disk partitions to be insufficient for users. Headache, including me. It’s really terrible. My system partition is only 12GB in total, and the remaining space of the whole disk is less than 7GB. What should I do? Can't I install SP1?!

SP1 has three deployment methods:

* Express: Requires a network connection. First, you need to download 50MB (32-bit) files to your computer before you can download and install updates via the network.

* Stand-alone: Offline installation method, download files are much more than Express, can be applied to any Vista version and language will use a distribution tool like System Center Configuration Manager 2007 to deploy a stand-alone installation to Vista SP1

* Slipstream: Install SP1 using media media, its access channel is limited, Microsoft will release retail media in the future, and mass-licensed users can also get it. When

use express and stand-alone deployment, Microsoft recommends that:

* laptop must be plugged into the power supply (should be more time-consuming, and to ensure that the process is not interrupted)

* The remaining space in the operating system area: 32 bits for at least 7GB, 64 bits for at least 12GB.

* The stand-alone deployment method requires administrative credentials.

Special note: said "32 to keep at least 7GB" means that the system after installation is complete, there must be at least 7GB of free space, where space is not Vista SP1 as long as you can retain the 7GB above.
