Windows Server 2008 installation problem resolution

If there are some problems when installing Windows Server 2008, here are some solutions.

1. Install Windows Server 2008 on the test computer.

2. Install the application on Windows Server 2008. If prompted to request permission to install the application, click Allow and proceed with the installation. If the installation is successful, go to step 6.

3. If the application installation fails and the installation permission prompt does not appear, right-click the EXE installer and select "Run the program as administrator" to reinstall the application. If the installation is successful, go to step 6.

Note This step is not required if you are installing with MSI.

4. If you receive an error such as OS version, CLSID registration, or file copy, right-click the EXE installer file, select the Compatibility tab, and select Windows Server 2003 (Service Pack 1) ) Compatibility mode.

5. Go back to step 2. If the application cannot be installed, go to step 9.

6. The application should now be installed.

7. Launch the application. If the application does not start properly or displays an error, apply Windows Server 2003 (Service Pack 1) compatibility mode to the application EXE and try again.

8. If the application launches successfully, iterate through the entire set of tests that are typically used to test applications on Windows Server 2003 (Service Pack 1). Verify the functionality of the application and verify that the application is working properly. If all major features pass the test, go to step 10.

9. If the application installation and startup is unsuccessful, crashes, errors, or fails the primary functional test, it may be that a small number of applications are affected by Windows Server 2008 changes.

10. The program is completed.
