XP is popular with everyone for its gorgeous interface and easy operation. However, after using it for a long time, we will find that the hard disk space is slowly decreasing. How do we find the hard disk space swallowed up by XP? With the following nine tricks, it's easy to retrieve lost hard drive space.

First, uninstall unusable components

XP default installs some system components to the operating system, and a large part of these components are not available to you, hard disk space is not enough friends Also consider uninstalling them in "Add/Remove Windows Components". However, some of the components XP are hidden by default. You can't find them in "Add/Remove Windows Components"; you can do this by opening the file windowsinfsysoc.inf with Notepad and using the Find/Replace function. Replace all the “hide” characters in the file with null. In this way, the hidden attributes of all components are removed, and after saving and exiting, click "Add-Remove Programs", you will see a lot of options that you could not see, and those components that you can't use. Delete, such as Internat messenger service, fax service, Windows messenger, code table, etc., can make up about 50MB of space.

Second, compress NTFS drive, file or folder
