Windows XP solves the problem of mutual access

There have been many users complaining that computers with Windows XP installed on the LAN cannot access each other with Windows 98 installed computers, Windows XP computers and Windows XP computers. They cannot communicate with each other.

I have seen many masters offer the following four points: one is to open the GUEST account; the other is to install the NetBEUI protocol; the third is to check whether the local security policy settings disable the GUEST account; the fourth is to set up sharing folder. However, even if these four points are done, sometimes the problem of mutual access to Windows XP cannot be solved. Because you want to achieve mutual access in Windows XP,

need to set this step:

Right click on the Windows desktop “My Computer”, select “properties” And then click on the "computername" tab to see if your LAN workgroup name appears in the tab, such as <;TL2000” etc. Then click the “Network ID” button to start the “Network Identification Wizard”: Click “Next” to select “This unit is part of the commercial network and use it to connect to other working computers”. Click ““Next” to select “The company uses a network without domain”; click the “Next” button and enter the name of your LAN workgroup, such as “TL2000”, again Click the “Next” button and finally click the “Finish” button to complete the setup.

After restarting the computer, the computers on the LAN can be accessed.
