Let's first take a look at the configuration of the server.

Because the "Remote Desktop Web Connection" is an optional WWW service component in Internet Information Services (IIS), it is necessary for the Windows XP host to provide the "Remote Desktop Web Connection" function. Install the component first. To do this, run the “Add or Remove Programs” item in the “Control Panel” and then click the “Add/Remove Windows Components” option in the “Add or Remove Programs” dialog box, at “ ; in the Windows Components Wizard & rdquo; dialog box, select the "Internet Information Services" option and click the "Details" button, select the "World Wide Web Service & Rarr; Remote Desktop Web Connection" option, and then return to "ld" ; Windows Component Wizard & rdquo; dialog box, click the "Next" button to start the installation.

Click the "Directory Security" tab in the "Properties" dialog box that appears, and click the "Edit" button in the "Anonymous Access and Authentication Control" In the “Authentication Method” dialog box that appears, select the “Anonymous Access” option. This way we can use IE to access & ldquo; Remote Desktop & rdquo;

Run IE on the client, type the server address in the address bar in the format of "http://server address (domain name) /tsweb", if the server address is 218.76.1199.5, then the address can be Enter "“http://218.76.219.5/tsweb/” in the field, after the carriage return, the page of "Remote Desktop Web Connection" will appear in the IE window, as shown in Figure 3, in the web page. In the Server & rdquo; column, type the name of the remote computer you want to connect to and click the “Connect” button to connect to the remote desktop.

In addition to remote desktop and remote assistance, Windows XP also provides program sharing. In a sense, it is also a remote control of the program, and NetMeeting also has program sharing.

The above remote control methods must be performed in Windows XP or Windows Server 2003, and the functions are relatively simple. To perform remote control in other operating systems, or to require remote control to provide more powerful features, you need to use other third-party remote control software.
