The reason why FlashGet pauses for a long time before downloading

Q: When I use FlashGet to download some large files, FlashGet always pauses for a long time before starting to download, just like a crash, what can I do to solve this problem? ?

A: The reason for this situation is that FlashGet needs to generate a file with the suffix ".jc" on the hard disk. Its size is the same as the size of the file to be downloaded, and it will be automatically renamed after the download is completed. For example, if you want to download a 700MB file, FlashGet will create a new 700MB empty file by default, which will take a while. You can solve the problem by doing the following:

(1) Start FlashGet and select the “Tools” menu with the mouse on the main interface.

(2) Select "Options" and click the "Other" tab in the pop-up window.

(3) Remove the check mark before the "Apply disk space after obtaining the file size", so that you do not need to allocate disk space in advance when downloading files. Click the "OK" button to save and exit.
