Setting up a fax machine

The first thing to note is that if you are still using Modem to access the Internet, you don't need to set anything; if you don't use Modem to access the Internet, just dial in as before. In the default installation mode of Windows XP, there is no fax machine, so we have to add the fax machine first, click “Start”→“Printer and Fax", we will see "Printers and Faxes&rdquo ; dialog box, click “ set fax & rdquo;.

Next Windows will install and configure the components of the fax machine for us

Sending a fax

Once the fax machine is set up, you are ready to send a fax. First click on “File” →“Send Fax", we will see the "Fax Send Wizard" dialog box.

Click “Next” to fill in the recipient's information, including the recipient's name and fax number, and then click “Add”.

After filling out, click “Next”, the dialog box will appear, "Prepare the home page", in this dialog we will set the format and information of the home page, Windows XP provides us with Four templates, we can easily design our fax according to the format of the template, click "Sender Information", fill in some personal information that you think you need, other columns we just need to fill in according to the prompts.

Then click “Next” to select the delivery time and priority according to your needs.

Click “Next” to preview the effect of the fax. After you are satisfied, click “Complete" to complete the fax sending wizard.

At this point, the computer will start sending faxes through your Modem, and the “Fax Monitor” dialog will pop up automatically.
