How to back up your computer system? Steps for using the Ghost backup operating system in the XP environment

  
                

Even professional people can't do anything wrong with the operating system. Some professional users even need to reinstall the system in three months (XP system recommended download)! However, reinstalling the system is a cumbersome task. Therefore, the backup system is very necessary. Compared with the reinstallation system, using the backed up system for recovery can quickly enter the working state. It takes more time to install some software. Read below to learn about the steps XP uses to back up the operating system with Ghost.

1. After installing the system, install the Maxdos tool. Also proposed to specify different partition label, and remember the source partition to be backed up and saved backup file partition label parts:

7, choose to save the image file location: Now press & ldquo; Shift + Tab & rdquo; button to switch back to the partition selection pull-down menu, select the partition; e.g. & ldquo; 1: 2 & rdquo; of It means the second partition of the first hard disk, that is, "D” disk, after selecting the partition, press the Tab key to cut to the file selection area, use the up and down keys to select the folder, you can press the Tab key again, cut to “Filename” text box type the name of the image file, such as “xp” or “C_BAK.GHO”, and then press the Enter key.

8, followed by Norton Ghost will ask if you need to compress image files, & ldquo; No & rdquo; express without any compression; & ldquo; Fast & rdquo; mean small-ratio compression but the backup job execution Faster; "High" is a higher compression ratio but the backup speed is relatively slow. Generally, you choose "High", although the speed is slightly slower, the hard disk space occupied by the image file will be greatly reduced (it will not be much slower), and the recovery speed is very fast.

9, after all this preparatory work done, Ghost will ask whether you operate, of course, choose & ldquo; yes & rdquo;, and press Enter to start making the image file for you. The backup speed has a great relationship with the CPU frequency and content capacity, and generally can be completed within 10 minutes. When the progress bar goes to 100%, it means that the backup system is finished. You can directly press the reset button of the chassis or ctrl+alt+del instead of exiting the ghost or dos system.

The above is step XP system using Ghost to back up the operating system, the user backed up after the operating system also needs a U disk boot disk, the future MAXDOS software problems, you can use a boot disk for recovery.
