How to solve the garbled WinXP system?

Recently, users of WinXP system reported that after the computer was turned on, it was found that the fonts in the computer were garbled. They could not read it. I don’t know what caused it. I don’t know how to solve it. This brings the user a A lot of trouble. Below, let's take a look at the solution to the garbled fonts in the WinXP system.

Chinese characters garbled phenomenon There are four types:

1, garbled text: Windows system is garbled, such as: menu, desktop, prompt box. This is caused by improper setting of the font part in the registry.

2, garbled documents: is a variety of applications, games that show Chinese in the place where garbled. The reason for this garbled formation is more complicated. There is a garbled reason for the first type, or it may be caused by the Chinese dynamic link library used in the software being overwritten by the English dynamic link library.

3, file garbled: mainly refers to mail garbled.

4, webpage garbled: It is caused by the fact that Hong Kong and Taiwan's traditional Chinese big five code (BIG5) and mainland simplified Chinese (GB2312) are not common.

Eliminate all kinds of garbled methods

First, the system garbled elimination method

This kind of garbled is due to the abnormal configuration of the font part in the Windows registry Even if you use internal code translation software, it will not eliminate such garbled. then what should we do? Please come with me:

Method 1. Find a machine that is the same as your Windows version and displays normal. Follow these steps:

1. Select on the normal machine “ ”→“Run”, type “regedit” in the dialog box to open the registry editor.

2, please position the cursor to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE systemCurrentControlSetControl Fontassoc", then select “ registry & rdquo; → & ldquo; export registry file & rdquo;, then select & ldquo; branch & rdquo;, export Branch registry information into a file (such as ZT.REG).

3, copy the ZT.REG file to your garbled machine by running “ldedit” on the machine displaying garbled characters, open the registry editor, and select “registry&rdquo” ;→“Import registration registry”, import ZT.REG file into the registry.

Method 2, if you can't find a machine that is the same as your Windows version and displays normal, you need to manually restore the registry part of the font part. The steps are:

1 First, select “Start”→“Run" on the machine that displays garbled characters, type “regedit” in the dialog box to open the registry editor;

2. Select “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystem CurrentControlSetControlFontassoc”, under normal circumstances, there will be two folders Associated DeaultFonts, Associated CharSet, the correct content should be:

Subdirectory Content

Chinese Win98

Chinese Win98 (OEM version)

Chinese Win2000

Associated CharSet

ANSI(00)=“yes”

GB2312(86)=“yes&rdquo ;

DEN(FF)=“yes”

SYMBOL(02)=“no”

ANSI(00)=“yes”

GB2312(86)=“yes”

OEM(FF =“yes”

SYMBOL(02)=“no”

ANSI(00)=“yes”

OEM(FF)=“yes”

SYMBOL(02)=“no”

Associated DefaultFonts

FontPackageDecorative=“宋体”

FontPackageDontcare=“宋体”

FontPackageModern=“宋体”

FontPackageRoman=“宋体”

or

FontPackageDecorative=“New Song Dynasty

FontPackageDontcare=“New Song Dynasty

FontPackageModern=“New Songs”

FontPackageRoman= “新宋体”

FontPackageSwiss=“New Songs”

3. When Chinese characters are garbled, the contents of the above two folders will be incomplete, and some will not have Associated CharSet folders. Or the content is incomplete; some of the contents under Associated DefaulFonts are incomplete. What if I encounter this situation? In fact, you just need to open the registry editor, under "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetControlFonassoc", restore according to the above correct content.

Second, the application, game garbled elimination method

Obviously Chinese software, but the display interface appears garbled, this may be due to incorrect information about the font settings in the registry The result of being changed is generally caused by the Chinese link library of the software being overwritten by the English link library. This phenomenon often occurs in Chinese software developed by Microsoft development tools such as VB and VC. In this type of software, the Chinese characters on the display interface such as menus are controlled by a dynamic link library ".DLL file", and the dynamic link library of the software is generally installed in the System directory of Win 98/2000. If you install an English software in the future and also use the dynamic link library with the same name, the dynamic link library of the English software will overwrite the dynamic link library of the Chinese software under your original Windows System. In this way, when you run the Chinese software, the English dynamic link library will be called, so there is garbled. The solution is to reinstall the Chinese software and restore the Chinese dynamic link library.

The above is the solution to the garbled fonts in the WinXP system. After the above methods, I believe that the problem of garbled can be solved.
