How to solve WinXP can not stand by

I don't want to use a computer, I want to let the computer take a break, but I don't want the computer to shut down, so many users will choose to let the computer system be in standby mode. This is the best of both worlds, but in the xp system, the system is suddenly found. What can I do if I can't stand by?

Analysis and Solution of Xp System Cannot Standby:

First, the device driver (such as CD-ROM drive) is in use, and the CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive should be taken out.

Second, a software is running, or a driver has compatibility issues. After installing the new operating system, do not install other software and drivers, and do not perform any "optimization", immediately check if you can enter the standby state. If it is a driver issue, please upgrade to the latest version.

Third, there is a problem with the IDE controller driver. Install the motherboard driver immediately after installing the operating system. This driver can be found on the CD that came with your motherboard. Also try installing the latest motherboard driver.

Fourth, there is a problem with the hard disk itself. First, run “Disk Scanner> Check the hard drive and run the antivirus software to check the system. Secondly, unplug the power cord to open the chassis and unplug all the hard drives, optical drives, and even floppy drive data transmission lines except the main one. If the problem still cannot be solved, let the hard disk and the optical drive use separate data lines respectively; check whether the hard disk and the optical drive jumper are correct; make sure the data line is not damaged and tightly connected, and so on.

Finally, if the hard disk or optical drive model is earlier, it may not be able to support the advanced standby mode. In this case, you can first set the CMOS "Power Management Setup" to "ACPI Function". “Enable”,"ACPI Suspend Type" set to “S3(STR)” Try.

System Standby is a very convenient mode that allows the computer to rest and save power without shutting down. Under Windows XP system, if the user encounters the same problem, consider the above. Situation and corresponding solutions.
