Xp network authentication in the registry how to add

In order to work, remote desktop connection is essential, sometimes the network connection needs to be authenticated, in the xp system is not available, in Windows XP SP3 has added this feature, but users have not found it. In fact, because Windows XP SP3 does not automatically activate NLA support, we need to manually change the relevant key values in the registry.

The specific steps are as follows:

Step 1: Go to Windows XP SP3, run “regedit”Open the Registry Editor and go to  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\Lsa” Double-click "Security Packages" in the right pane. This will open the "Edit Multi-String" dialog box and add the contents of "ldspkg" in the list box. As for the original content, you do not need to change it.

Step 2: Navigate to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\ServiceProvider”, double-click the string "SecurityProviders" in the right side to open the "Edit String" dialog box, in the value Add “, credssp.dll” in the data box. Note that there is an English space after the comma.

Step 3: After completing the above changes, restart your computer. Open Remote Desktop Connection from the Start menu again. Now we can see the information in the "About" window that supports network level authentication (pictured). Is it interesting?

Note: If you are connecting to Windows Vista remotely from Windows XP SP3, please use the computer name instead of the IP address.

Adding network authentication through the registry is a very good news for xp systems. After xp adds this feature, it is more convenient to connect to Windows Vista for remote desktop. The system is more secure.
