Add missing components in the missing IIS, how to install?

I often hear friends say that I can not find the installation of iis, and it is only after the installation of the iss, it is estimated that after the installation of the virus, I ask Is there any way to solve this? To this end, Xiaobian consulted the professionals, and learned that iis, originally an optional package for the Windows NT version, then built in Windows 2000, Windows XP Professional and Windows Server 2003, but on Windows XP There is no IIS on the Home version. Finally, I got the following solution to solve the problem, and the experiment is feasible. The specific method is as follows:

1Start → Run, enter C:\\windows\\inf\\sysoc.inf (here assuming you The system is installed on the C drive), the system will automatically open the sysoc.inf file with Notepad.

2 Find the [Components] section in sysoc.inf and continue to find a line similar to iis=iis.dll, OcEntry, iis.inf, hide, 7 (if not, you can put “iis =iis.dll,OcEntry,iis.inf,,7”code fill).

Replace iis=iis.dll, OcEntry, iis.inf, hide, 7 with iis=iis.dll , OcEntry, iis.inf,, 7. Then save and close. (If you are afraid of correcting the error, first backup sysoc.inf)

3 Then copy the two files IIS.DL_ and IIS.IN_ in the winxp installation directory i386 to a temporary directory ( For example, C:\\htmer), then at the command prompt, transfer the current directory to C:\\htmer (start → run, type cmd, open a command prompt, then type cd c:\\htmer, press Enter. Execute

EXPAND IIS.DL_ IIS.DLL

EXPAND IIS.IN_ IIS.INF

Then copy the iis.inf file to the c:\\windows\\inf directory Copy the iis.dll file to the c:\\windows\\system32\\setup directory.

4 start → set → control panel → add or remove programs → add /remove Windows components, this time as usual to install IIS, the process will ask you to choose the location of the winxp installation CD , just enter the specified directory to install properly. (If the system wants to be certified, you can choose to cancel)

5 After installation, you may not be able to use it directly. You need to make some settings for IIS:

Control Panel →Management Tools → Internet Service Manager, then right click "Default Web Site", go to the "Directory Security" tab, click the "Anonymous Access and Authentication Control" button, and the authentication method will pop up. In the new window, click on the “Edit” button in the “Anonymous Access” dialog box, and “Allow IIS to control the password” to remove it, and then return all the way.

Sometimes, in some versions of XP, we will find that there is no option to install IIS in the Add and Remove WIndows component, and we urgently need to install IIS. What should we do? As long as you follow the steps in the above tutorial and implement it step by step, you will be able to solve your problem soon.
