This 0x800F0A12 error occurs because the SP1 installer determined that the current system partition cannot directly start Windows 7, thus interrupting the installation. (Microsoft's official explanation is that the installer failed to access the system partition to update the necessary files.)

The 0x800F0A12 error code is fixed. 1. In the Start Search box, type "ldmg;.cc". Computer management interface, select Storage - Disk Management, check whether the partition where Windows 7 is located contains the "activity" attribute. If not, right click on the partition and select "Mark partition as active partition".

2, after closing, close the computer management window and other applications, start running the Windows 7 SP1 installer or directly update through Windows Update online, this error should not occur again.
